Workshop Project/Internship Instruction Type (PIT)
Project/Internship course units are particularly relevant to engineering degrees. It is through this type of courses that students have the chance to practice their technical skills in a real-world-like setting and experience soft skills that are a key factor for employability.
Project/Internship courses might create an environment that is a unique cradle to forge students’ soft skills, such as, team work, communication, initiative, focus. Addressing and improving these skills in students efficiently and efficaciously is seldom done by any other type of instruction. A Project/Internship is probably the most efficient way to improve these skills in students.
The PIT workshop intends to be a forum to discuss any issue related to this instructional paradigm and to join together anyone interested in the topic.
The workshop will be organized as an oral paper presentation session which will be concluded by an enlarged discussion period involving all participants. The goal of this discussion will be set in accordance with the subjects presented in the workshop papers.
We challenge any stakeholders in Industry, Business and Education that find this a relevant topic to submit their contribution to the workshop.

The official language of the conference is English.
